Israeli strikes kill four Palestinians in Gaza as military destroys Hezbollah infrastructure in Lebanon

Israeli strikes on the northern Gaza community of Beit Lahiya killed at least four Palestinians, including two children, in the two days preceding September 10, according to Shifa Hospital's report to Al Jazeera. These strikes are part of Israel's continued military operations across the Gaza Strip, which have persisted for more than a year.

Israeli security officials confirmed they killed a senior Hamas member in a strike on Gaza City, claiming he was responsible for numerous deadly attacks. According to reports from The Times of Israel, the individual, named Farah H., had previously been released through a prisoner exchange agreement. Hamas acknowledged this individual's previous detention and release.

In southern Lebanon, the Israel Defense Forces announced the destruction of a major Hezbollah tunnel complex at Ali Taher, and confirmed earlier strikes on what it described as a Hezbollah stronghold on a nearby ridge. Despite a ceasefire agreement with Hezbollah, Israel has maintained periodic military strikes in Lebanon, justifying these operations by citing what it claims are Hezbollah's ongoing efforts to rebuild its military infrastructure.

These military operations occurred against a backdrop of continuing diplomatic tensions between Israel and Western governments, notably including the United Kingdom, regarding both the conduct of the war and Israel's expansion of settlements in the occupied West Bank.
